Kate Vescera is a Partner at our Irvine, California office.
Kate’s practice focuses on business litigation and transactional matters. She works with firms of all sizes, from large publicly traded companies through sole proprietorships. She has successfully litigated numerous cases involving a variety of issues, including, breach of contract matters, commercial disputes, employment matters, shareholder and partnership disputes, developer defense litigation, commercial and premises liability claims, real estate matters and trade secret claims. She also has experience with resolving matters through mediation and informal negotiation.
Kate has assisted clients in completing complicated transactions, including asset sales, stock purchases, the sale of businesses and real estate transactions. These have included the sale of the assets of a health care concierge service and the sale of the business and real estate of a large shopping center. She also has experience in intellectual property matters.
Kate provides outside general counsel services to a variety of business including health care providers, hospitality and entertainment providers, staffing companies, insurance brokers, and automotive accessory producers, amongst many others.
Kate graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law with her Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in International Law. She also earned a Masters in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law.
Kate graduated with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Economy and Slavic Languages and Literatures. During her undergraduate career, Katherine was a Dean’s Honor Student and studied abroad at the International University in Moscow, Russia.
During her time at Pepperdine, Kate studied abroad in London and completed an internship with the International Arbitration Group of WilmerHale. She also served as an Associate Editor on the Pepperdine Law Review, as well as a judicial extern to the Honorable Meredith Jury of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
Kate is a member of the Orange County Business Round Table and is a volunteer mentor with Motivating Our Students Though Experience (MOSTe).
When she is not in the office, Kate enjoys reading, playing tennis and rooting for the Dodgers.
