Samantha Weissman is an associate in our Irvine, California office. She practices predominantly in the areas of family law. Samantha assists clients in all aspects of divorce and family law including drafting and reviewing premarital, postnuptial, cohabitation and other agreements. Further, on the litigation side, Samantha handles a wide variety of family law actions including parentage, dissolution, complex custody, etc.
Samantha worked at TALG as a legal assistant while she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine. She graduated cum laude from UCI with a degree in English in the spring of 2009 and thereafter briefly left TALG to attend law school at the University of San Diego School of Law. She happily rejoined the firm in October of 2016 as an Associate Attorney.
While in law school, Samantha focused her studies on International Law. In the summer of 2013, she studied abroad in both Barcelona and London. In 2014, she was selected for a pupilage at 11 Stone Buildings Barristers’ Chambers at Lincoln’s Inn in London. Upon graduation from USD she received a concentration in International Law.
During law school, Samantha was also a very active member of the school’s community. She reinstated the McCormick Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta and served its Justice. She served as a Senior Associate on the Journal of Climate and Energy Law and as an article contributor to the law school’s newspaper, Motions. Believing strongly in supporting her peers, Samantha further served as a 1L section representative; as a member on the Student Bar Association – Executive Budget Committee, as a 1L class representative; and as a mentor in the 1L mentor program.
Samantha is a recipient of the James E. Spain Family Endowed Scholarship (2014); the Darling Foundation Scholarship (2013); and the Price International Scholarship (2013, 2014).
In her free time, Samantha enjoys high intensity interval training, cooking, opera, and, above all, spending quality time with her fiancé, Scott.
