In over 16 years of practice, Scott Halberstadt has represented developers, general contractors, subcontractors, product manufacturers, automobile manufacturers, car dealerships, banking institutions, insurance companies, and public entities, in a varied range of practice areas, including, business litigation, complex construction defect litigation, toxic tort, insurance litigation, product liability, transactional, personal injury, employment law, public entity defense, predatory lending, discrimination, civil rights violations, wrongful death, and administrative law.
As Personal Counsel for several private entities, Scott is experienced in risk assessment and regularly counsels clients on contract negotiation as well as compliance with Unruh Act, OSHA, Contractor’s State Licensing Board, CEQA and EPA requirements.
Over the course of his career, Scott has successfully represented clients at trial in cases involving breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, assault, battery, interference with business relations and fraud, obtaining favorable jury verdicts for his clients.
Scott received his Bachelor’s degree from California State University at Fullerton and his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. He has been admitted to practice law in California since 1997.
