PITTSBURGH – Ismail Amin has been named a director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today.
Ismail Amin is Founder and Partner of TALG where he practices as a business and intellectual property lawyer. His legal experience encompasses serving larger Fortune Five Hundred companies, mid-sized privately held companies and entrepreneurs. Ismail presently serves as corporate and litigation counsel to large and mid-sized businesses throughout California, Nevada & Texas. Additionally, Ismail serves as general and personal counsel to high profile hospitality operators in California and Nevada. Ismail also has counseled health care provider clients in acquiring or selling assets, while maximizing return and minimizing risk.
In addition to practicing law, Ismail is a pilot and avid marathoner. Currently he is in training to successfully complete all six of the World Marathon Majors. “Ismail’s passion for track & field and road racing is inspiring and encouraging. His enthusiasm will be an asset for the entire Foundation board and our grantee athletes,” stated Tom Jackovic.
Moreover, Amin proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Veterans Training Fund, a Las Vegas based non-profit organization, dedicated to assisting and re-acclimatizing veterans by employing and honing their military skill sets through application to civilian industries. Finally, Ismail is a global Gen-Next member. “Our time is finite and we should use each precious moment to make our world a better place for generations to come,” said Ismail Amin.
The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging elite athletes, and distance training centers. The Foundation depends upon donations from its Board of Directors, major gifts, and from generous fans of track & field.
Elite athletes are supported by the Foundation via monetary grants, career counseling (mentoring and jobs) and participation in Run with US! (www.runwithus.org). Youth athletes are supported via monetary grants to youth clubs.
