Ismail Amin, Esq.
Ismail is a multi-jurisdictional practitioner with substantial experience in business, intellectual property transactions and disputes. Ismail has handled disputes all over the world and throughout the United States on behalf of Fortune 500 companies and mid-sized privately held companies in fields such as healthcare, biologics, biotechnology and hospitality. In the Board Room – Ismail has counseled the firm’s healthcare provider clients in acquiring or selling assets, while maximizing return and minimizing risk. He has helped clients acquire or sell over $1 billion worth of healthcare-related assets, including hospitals.
Ismail has considerable trial and arbitration experience, having been involved in over 80 trials and arbitration across multiple jurisdictions from the inception of his legal career. He has successfully litigated shareholder accounting disputes, trade-secret matters, trademark/trade-dress infringement claims, commercial, and breach of contract matters, complex commercial litigation. Ismail has substantial experience before the USPTO, having litigated multiple TTAB proceedings involving trademark disputes.
Ismail is currently attending Georgetown Law Center’s LLM program in Securities & Financial Regulation. Moreover, he is presently a candidate at Johns Hopkins University for a Master’s in Biotechnology, Enterprise & Entrepreneurship.
Partner, Irvine Office
Kate Vescera is a Partner at our Irvine, California office. Kate’s practice focuses on business litigation and transactional matters. She works with firms of all sizes, from large publicly traded companies through sole proprietorships. She has successfully litigated numerous cases involving a variety of issues, including, breach of contract matters, commercial disputes, employment matters, shareholder and partnership disputes, developer defense litigation, commercial and premises liability claims, real estate matters and trade secret claims. She also has experience with resolving matters through mediation and informal negotiation.
Kate has assisted clients in completing complicated transactions, including asset sales, stock purchases, the sale of businesses and real estate transactions. These have included the sale of the assets of a health care concierge service and the sale of the business and real estate of a large shopping center. She also has experience in intellectual property matters.
Kate provides outside general counsel services to a variety of business including health care providers, hospitality and entertainment providers, staffing companies, insurance brokers, and automotive accessory producers, amongst many others.
Kate graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law with her Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in International Law. She also earned a Masters in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law.
Kate graduated with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Economy and Slavic Languages and Literatures. During her undergraduate career, Katherine was a Dean’s Honor Student and studied abroad at the International University in Moscow, Russia.
Dima Hanna joined the TALG Irvine office in 2021. Dima was born and raised in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and moved to California to attend Chapman University, where she graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an International Business emphasis and minor in Sociology. Dima thereafter graduated from Southwestern Law School, where she received her Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Civil Litigation and Advocacy.
During her time at Southwestern, Dima gained diverse experience while clerking for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s family violence unit, along with time spent in firms specializing in criminal defense, personal injury, and family law – where her passion for family law was solidified. Dima was also a member of the Entertainment Law Society and a quarter-finalist in the Negotiations Honors Competition. At TALG, Dima’s main focus is family law as well as business transactional law.
Dima volunteers for the Lebanon Relief Center during her visits home, and continues to contribute her efforts to a Vietnamese orphanage, for which she participated in a month-long Service Trip to Vietnam. In addition to this, she has traveled to 20 countries and continually enjoys exploring new cultures. Dima is bilingual in Arabic and English and also spends her free time boxing, skiing, and attending live music events.
Christopher Stark joined the TALG Irvine, California Office in 2022. Throughout his career, Christopher has represented financial institutions, private companies, and individuals in state and federal courts in actions involving loan servicing, real property disputes, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes. Immediately prior to joining TALG, Christopher spent three years working in-house for a mortgage loan originator providing guidance in subject matters including contract review and responding to regulator inquiries.
Christopher received his juris doctor from Chapman University, Fowler School of Law and bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fullerton. He has been admitted to practice law in California since 2015.
In his time outside of practice, Christopher enjoys cycling and hiking in the Sierra Nevada’s.
